IKEA Design Week 2024 – the world needs more pink

As part of Zurich Design Weeks, VENON Projects supported IKEA Switzerland with a special installation centred around sleep and wellbeing. Under the motto “It’s time for a good night’s sleep”, a series of immersive spaces explored the question of what it really takes to enjoy a restful night.

Together with JEFF Zurich and Brogleworks AG, we developed the lighting concept for the installation. Carefully designed lighting moods enhanced the atmosphere of each individual space and brought IKEA’s spatial design elements to life.

The highlight was the Pink Room – inspired by Nemo and the iconic pink bucket hat. Through a bold and consistent lighting concept, the entire room was transformed into an intense pink dreamscape, turning the installation into a fully immersive experience.

Light became a central part of the design, bringing architecture, colour and atmosphere together in one coherent visual language.
